Sugar Cookie Recipe
1 cup sugar 1 cup butter 1 egg 2 tsp clear vanilla or almond flavoring 1-3tbsp milk 3 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt
Cream sugar and butter, add egg.. mix until combined add extract and then dry ingredients until combined, add milk if you feel the need to soften more. This dough does not need to be refrigerated before rolling out unless really soft. Flour surface and rolling pin before rolling out. Pre-heat oven to 350. Bake cookies at 350 till slightly golden unless you want crispy then till golden
Gingerbread Cookies
3/4 cup brown sugar 6 tblsp butter 1 egg 2 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup molassas 3 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 tsp baking soda 1 tblsp gr ginger, 1 3/4 gr cinnamon, 1/4 gr cloves
Cream sugar and butter, add egg.. mix until combined add molassas and extract. Once combined add dry ingredients until it forms a ball of cookie dough. This dough needs to be refrigerated for a couple hours before rolling out. Flour surface and rolling pin before rolling out. Pre-heat oven to 350. Bake cookies at 350 till slightly golden unless you want crispy then till golden.
Decorator Icing
2 cups sifted icing sugar, 2 tsp corn syrup, 2-3 tsp milk (depending on thickness) 1 tsp clear flavoring. Mix till combined, color as needed
Once cookies are decorated allow to dry for an hour or so to harden. Enjoy
